''Undercover Boss'' is a reality television series franchise created by Stephen Lambert and produced in many countries. It originated in 2009 on the British Channel 4. The show’s format features the experiences of senior executives working undercover in their own companies to investigate how their firms really work and to identify how they can be improved, as well as to reward hard-working employees. Format Each episode features a high-ranking executive or the owner of a corporation going undercover as an entry-level employee in his or her own company. The executives alter their appearance and assume an alias and fictional back-story. Stephen Lambert (media Executive)
Stephen Lambert (born 22 March 1959) is an English television producer and executive who works in Britain and America. He launched the TV formats '' Wife Swap'', '' Faking It'', ''The Secret Millionaire'', ''Undercover Boss'' and ''Gogglebox''. He is the chief executive of Studio Lambert, one of All3Media's production companies. He is also chairman of Seven Stories, a scripted production company launched in 2015 and backed by All3Media. His programmes have won dozens of awards including BAFTA awards, the Rose D'Or of Montreux and both Primetime and International Emmys. In 2016 he was made a fellow of the Royal Television Society. TV Nova is a commercial television station in the Czech Republic. It began broadcasting in February 1994 as the first privately held nationwide Czech TV station. Its first CEO was Vladimír Železný. ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). ITV is the oldest commercial network in the UK. TVP1 (TVP Jeden, ''Program I Telewizji Polskiej'', ''"Jedynka"'') is the main public television channel of TVP (Telewizja Polska S.A.), Poland's national television broadcaster. It was the first Polish channel to be broadcast and remains one of the most popular today. TVP1 was launched 25 October 1952. History TVP1 was launched as of 25 October 1952 as TV Polska. RIMI was a grocery store chain in Norway. The discount supermarket is best known for its slogan, "Consistently low prices" (''Faste lave priser''). The supermarket business can trace itself back to 1977. It was founded as the discount grocery store chain RIMI 500 by Norwegian businessman Stein Erik Hagen. Starting in 1992, Hagen sold an interest in the chain to the Swedish group, ICA AB. In 1998, Hagen and ICA reached an agreement to sell a half interest in the business to the Dutch-based group, Koninklijke Ahold N.V. In 2004, Hagen sold his remaining interest in RIMI.
